The county of LA’s Hall of Justice is a 1920’s-era historical building, and is the oldest surviving government building in the Los Angeles Civic Center. It also now serves as the headquarters for both the County Sheriffs and DA’s Office.
Morillo was awarded a contract to convert under-utilized space in the building into a fully functional kitchen and cafeteria. Total tenant improvements cover an area of 5,321 sq. ft., which includes 2,495 sq. ft. of dining room space; 1,909 sq. ft. for the kitchen, servery, and office spaces, and 189 sq. ft. of mechanical room space. Work was done keeping true to the building’s historical and aesthetic features; and without disturbing tenants.
