The Balboa Mental Health Center project provided a new clinic adjacent to the existing LAUSD Mental Health Center. The scope of work consisted of approximately 4,800 square feet of new construction, new furniture and equipment (including additional casework and shelving for the clinic), related site improvements including security upgrades, and new temporary and permanent parking lots providing adequate parking as well as a student drop-off area with an accessible path of travel to the adjacent Lake Balboa College Preparatory magnet.

The project also included the removal of existing bungalows/ portable buildings, the relocation of Board District 3 Field Office to the local District Northwest office, and the relocation of an obstacle course with new equipment for the Police Academy Magnet on the neighboring Mulholland MS campus.
